Abstract

This article is a review of the health care team’s perceptions over the care they dedicated to parents of children undergoing oncology treatment. The research took place using national and international data bases, years 1995 to 2008. Only 2 studies have shown directly the professional’s view on the subject.
Despite the advance in studies about the parents of children with cancer and their needs, this study concludes that there is an extensive need for further studies promoting the critic self-valuation regarding professional conduct with focus on interventions findings.
