Abstract

This article has the intention to conduct a case study on the transition experienced by a person affected by cancer of the head and neck, specifically cancer of the larynx. We intend to carry out this analysis in light of the transitions theory developed by Meleis. This theory allows us to assess the nature of the transition, facilitating and inhibiting conditions and response patterns, allowing us
to adequate the nursing cares to the uniqueness of the person under investigation.
