The cancer and the therapy process represent significant changes in the health condition of the patient. We have studied the subject “The health condition of the patients with colorretal cancer at the beginning of the therapy”. The study involved 141 patients.
Overall, in the field of self-care customers of the sample not revealed high levels of dependence in the different areas of self-care. Although 33 cases needed help from a person to perform some of the “instrumental activities of daily living”.1 to 4 cases of customers completely dependent and non-participating in the fields of self-care of cleanliness, mobility, and to take care of the colostomy, and even a group of 2 to 15 cases of customers who only need help in person in the field of self-care of cleanliness, mobility, administering medication and to take care of the colostomy. In the field commitments of body process the customers of the sample presented, bleeding, fatigue, pain, impaired sleep, decreased appetite, diarrhea, loss of taste, constipation, impaired range of motion and nausea.
The results obtained will direct us to the need for studies about this problem of longitudinal character that let describe the evalution in the dimension of the condition of health in clients with colorectal cancer.
