Subvalorização das Artralgias: Papel do Enfermeiro na detecção precoce da Imunotoxicidade

Resumo

Os Inibidores do Checkpoint Imunitário (ICI) revolucionaram o tratamento oncológico. Os efeitos adversos da imunoterapia decorrentes da administração dos inibidores do checkpoint imunitário podem ser graves e potencialmente fatais. Embora a maioria das toxicidades seja bem estudada e sobejamente relatada, as complicações reumatológicas são menos reconhecidas e caracterizadas. Descreve-se um estudo de caso em que tanto Performance Status como a qualidade de vida (QdV) de um doente foram afetados pela imunotoxicidade reumatológica bem como o papel do enfermeiro na sua deteção precoce e os cuidados de enfermagem prestados de forma a minimizar o seu impacto na QdV.
