Os Instrumentos para avaliar necessidades paliativas da pessoa com doença renal crónica terminal: uma Scoping Review

Resumo

Objetivo: Mapear a evidência científica sobre instrumentos de avaliação de necessidades paliativas na pessoa com doença renal crónica terminal.

Métodos: Scoping Review segundo o método Joanna Briggs Institute. Foi realizada uma pesquisa, entre junho e agosto de 2024, na EBSCO, SCIELO e PUBMED. O processo de análise, extração e síntese dos dados foi desenvolvido por dois revisores independentes. Foram incluídos 22 artigos, dos quais resultou o mapeamento de 16 instrumentos.

Resultados: Seis instrumentos são usados especificamente na pessoa com doença renal crónica e os restantes 10 nas pessoas com outras doenças em geral. O IPOS-Renal, pela sua praticabilidade e relevância foi o instrumento mais mencionado nos estudos analisados.

Conclusão: Não havendo apenas um instrumento para avaliar todas as necessidades da pessoa com doença renal crónica terminal, a literatura apresenta como alternativa a junção de várias escalas. Sugere-se a criação de uma escala que possa abranger todos os domínios.
