Competências do Nurse Navigator no Cuidado à Pessoa Submetida a Laringectomia Total: uma Scoping Review

Atualmente, o cancro é a segunda causa de morte a nível mundial. No que concerne ao cancro da laringe, a laringectomia total compromete a respiração e a comunicação, exigindo respostas integradas e centradas na pessoa. O Nurse Navigator (NN) destaca-se neste processo, assegurando a continuidade e coordenação dos cuidados. O objetivo deste estudo foi mapear as competências do NN no acompanhamento da pessoa submetida a Laringectomia Total (LT), utilizando a metodologia do Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) e a mnemónica População, Conceito e Contexto (PCC). A pesquisa decorreu nas bases MEDLINE, CINAHL Complete e literatura cinzenta via Google Scholar, entre 2019 e 2024. Dos 568 artigos identificados, foram selecionados 15 estudos para análise final. Os resultados revelam que o Nurse Navigator coordena cuidados, promove educação terapêutica, apoia a pessoa e família, identifica barreiras e facilita a tomada de decisão partilhada, contribuindo para cuidados holísticos e melhoria da qualidade de vida da pessoa submetida a LT, evidenciando a necessidade de estruturar esta intervenção nas equipas multidisciplinares.
